Families

Insert Eye Roll From the boys....

When booking family photos it can be stressful. I have a few tips under the "Book A Session" tab. Just to give you an idea of how booking with me goes and what I suggest. Under each tab there is also a little bit of advice on what to expect and how to handle different things.

Families can give moms a hard time when in the session but typically, just being your self gets very memorable photos. I will typically shoot some candid photos mixed in with standard poses. I always do break downs of family, individuals of the kids and photos of the parents. This gives you great choices with different frames, collages, and card layouts.

Normal family photo sessions are booked as an hour, this gives the kids times to warm up and so we can get a lot of different poses with out being on a time constraint. Some sessions are shot indoors due to weather or age of the kids. These indoor sessions work the best for families 5 subjects or less because of the amount of room we have on the backdrop. Normally needed is a 5x7 space for the backdrop. I'll place the lights in different spots in the area. For returning clients, to my discretion, we can shoot indoors in my finished basement. I have a large black backdrop that can fit much more than 5 subjects, in the near future, I hope to also get a white backdrop again as well- mine went missing while moving.
