Newborns
Preparing for your session.
These sessions sometimes last up to three hours. It happens, but here's how to try and avoid that.
I always reccomend trying to get newborns to sleep through the session. They will wake up through out the session more than likely so I'll be able to get some of those open eye photos. This session works best for them to be in a deep sleep (what is that? I know right!) to better achieve this you can try keeping them awake before I get there. Maybe try a bath- then you can feed and hopefully get them nice and full so they will be in a milk coma by about the time I've set up my backdrop! (Set up takes about 15 mins give or take) When babies are asleep we can pose and try and get the most shots with out making them angry and upset.
Most of the time newborn sessions last the longest, sometimes they cry and cry and it's ok, I do what I can while there, but I don't to stress them out at the same time. Milk breaks sometimes work the best, mommy cuddle time.. Sometimes newborn sessions are fast which is great! Once babies wake up, most of the time, they're crying! so we will do what we can to make this smooth and easy for them. We can take family photos as well as photos with furbabies with your human babies.
