My name is Michelle and I am Photosparks. Photosparks is based out of the triad of NC. With over 15 years of experience photographing, personal, in the field, and many years of schooling. I studied at Weaver Academy and GTCC. I've had a love for photography well before the age of 16.
I got my first SLR camera on my 16th birthday. I remember zipping through a roll of film and racing to the one hour photo department or darkroom at school to get it developed and see the prints. For years I was against the ever changing life of digital photography and wanted to stick to my roots of darkroom developing. After fighting it for so long, I finally made my first Digital Single Lense Reflex camera purchase. I would gather my girlfriends and we would have "Picture Days." We would do our make up, pick and outfit and each take pictures or model. We would then hook the camera up to the tv and scroll through the photos in the living room. Over the years I made my next goals to be based around my photography.
Over the last 15 years or so I've worked at the Picture People photographing families and children, I then moved to pet photography with the same company while also doing a few different photography jobs on the side. I finally ended up at a Portrait Innovations and worked there about 5 years. I left that company in 2015 ready to branch out to try it on my own.
I have the ability to travel to customer homes or shoot outside. I love what I do because I create memories for people. They hang these memories I made for them up on the wall and when they look at their pictures they see what I saw, they feel the emotion I saw through the lens. I am fortunate enough to be apart of making those memories come true and I've always loved that feeling.
